Work on the bathroom continues. Because we're moving the tub nearer to the window to create more space, we had to carve away a little bit of the building structure. Whoops. But the contractor assured me I won't fall to the street below the first time I take a shower. That's the new tub in the foreground and downtown Manhattan out the window.
In the meantime, I've decided to go ahead and have them fix the rest of the ceilings. This will involve dropping them an inch or two to smooth the surface and adding much-needed lights in every room. So the apartment is officially in a state where I can't hang out there anymore til it's finished. Even the kitchen is sealed off to protect it from dust. The living room is all wrapped up as you can see.

In the bedroom the contractors have taken apart the bed and set it upright against the wall, and have started framing the ceiling.
